poultry keeping project

Project cordinator assistant is below selling some of the hens of the project to raise income for the organistion.We sell both local and exotic hens to our neighbouring community.
                                  
                       

                     The basket is used as habitat for both young and mature hens,it guards our animals against external risks. such as bad weather conditions and theft. We closely work togther to ensure proper management and accountability.    

Beekeeping project

Beehive project is one of the valuable projects in our community.Rural youth initiative for community developement saw it as an opportunity to promote the youth skills in trading and below is the project structure.

As an organisation,we feel proud to share with you that,our elders in the community have interest to see development among the young people and the community at large.They have therefore sacrificed their time and shared their skills with us to ensure that we keep this Beehive project in place and below is one of the Engineers who helped us to Set up the project and the encourage our youg people to always be around to get skills through trainning.

We indeed privilliged that our project in its Early stages has already received the Bees as their habitant and verysoon we shall be harvesting Hooney and we support nutrition and fight mulnitritution among the young people which has always been our challenge in our community and uganda at large.it is believed that hooney heals so many diseases.

Hygiene and sanitation

Kasese district has over the years been challenged with Hygienic challenges especially in rural areas,The district has been faced with the epidermic diseases like cholera,dysentery,scabbies among others and this has been worsened among the Young people who lack guidance and cancelling because of their illitrate parents and some times because others are orphans and helpless.

RYIC is therefore committed towards doing its best it can to sensitise the young people and create awareness of the many epidermic diseases that can result out of poor personal hyigiene.For example the members Have volountarily sacrificed their time and Energy to go to different primary and secondary schools to educate young people on how they can keep healthy.






RYIC has mobilised the young people to form themselves into small groups in different schools of different areas who have composed songs Highlighting the dangers and prevention of different diseases like HIV/AIDS,STD'S among others which have been some of the most killer and rampant diseases in the district.




The songs create attention of the young people and cause a great impact on their lives.RYIC Carryout home to home survey by the help of their staff volunteers to see the progress and trigger more impact.Challenge has always been transport,financial constraints,illiteracy of the inhabitants and cultural values and norms in the community However,As an organization we are committed for a change for tomorrow in our  areas and we keep trying and involving the stakeholders to advocate and rise the voices of the community for sustainable health.
